Recycling for Charities Announces Partnership With Kodak
Published November 11th, 2009
Recycling for Charities (recyclingforcharities.com) today announced a partnership with Kodak in a joint effort to reduce electronic waste. The program will proactively inform consumers how to recycle their old cameras when purchasing a special KODAK EASYSHARE M320 Camera Bundle. The bundle will be available at Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club exclusively in the U.S. and will contain instructions guiding consumers how to recycle their old cameras through Recycling for Charities.
A registered non-profit 501(c)(3) charity, Recycling for Charities defends the environment and supports charities by donating the money raised from recycling electronics to over 800 charities nationwide. To date Recycling for Charities has helped keep over 100,000 tons of e-waste out of landfills. When consumers purchase the new KODAK M320 Bundle, they’ll have the opportunity to recycle their old cameras with Recycling for Charities through a simple three-step process. There is no cost to donate, no cost for the charities, and all donations are tax deductible.
“We are thoroughly elated and honored to be partnering with a renowned brand such as Kodak. With their online and national retail presence we are positive that collectively we can make a dent in the rampant amount of e-waste out there,” stated Dwight Zahringer, Chairman of Recycling for Charities. The KODAK M320 Bundle features a KODAK EASYSHARE M320 Digital Camera with 9-megapixel sensor, 3x optical zoom, bright 2.7″ LCD screen and rechargeable lithium ion battery. The camera bundle also contains a USB/AC Charger for the rechargeable digital camera battery and also includes a camera case.
