Pacific Pavingstone is one of the largest paving stone driveway, patio and walkway installation companies in Southern California and they are inviting you to join in the effort to GO GREEN in your next home improvement project. Enhance your home as well as the planet with our NEW rainwater harvesting system!
Are the new restrictions on water usage going to challenge your green lawn this summer? Pacific Pavingstone has developed a rainwater harvesting system to go along with your new paving stone driveway. The technique employs a certain type of paver called permeable pavers which allows rainwater to drain into a water tank underneath the driveway which, in turn, is used to water your lawn! This system will drastically lower your monthly water bill and makes worrying about California’s new water restriction laws a thing of the past!
Permeable pavers are constructed with a large gravel base which allows the water to drain into the hidden basin underneath your driveway. The water is then stored in the basin and ready for use whenever your lawn is thirsty during the long droughts that face Los Angeles and the rest of Southern California. A pump is used to deliver the water from the basin to your hose in order to keep your lawn green and thriving all year round.
Rainwater harvesting systems have been in use for quite some time, however, they use above ground water tanks which end up being way to large for the property and are extremely unsightly in nature. Installing a system beneath the driveway and out of sight is an excellent way to maintain the beauty of your home and landscape; while continuing to be environmentally friendly.
