RVINE, Calif - Local.com Corporation (NASDAQ:LOCM) today announced that as a result of continued expansion of its Local Connect™ network, it has become the nation’s largest private-label local search network.
“We continue to make significant progress in growing our network, which is a direct reflection of the unique value we provide to our regional media partners,” said Malcolm Lewis, Local.com vice president and general manager, private label. “Integrating our local search platform drives incremental traffic and advertising revenues for our partners at no additional cost.”
Local.com uses its patented local search technologies to serve over 17 million consumers with highly relevant information on local businesses, products and services each month, up from 10 million consumers a year ago. Search results are delivered on Local.com as well as over 700 websites from regional media organizations such as Community Newspaper Holdings, Inc. (CNHI), GateHouse Media, Inc., Herald Association, Inc., Intellistrand, LLC and The Telegraph.
“Local.com has steadily grown its stable of private-label local media partners,” said Matt Booth, senior vice president and program director, Interactive Local Media for The Kelsey Group. “In terms of the number of partner sites, we estimate it has the largest network of independent, private-label, local media properties in the U.S.”
Local newspapers, television stations, radio stations, yellow page publishers and city guides can incorporate Local.com’s powerful, private-label business directory platform to increase traffic and drive new revenue streams online.
