Featured performances include Seattle Kokon Taiko, Lost Pedro, Rhythms of India, Background Noise, and more.

The public is welcome to join this fun-filled day complete with BBQ, music and face-painting for kids. Exceptional silent auction items including: a Columbia Tower Club Membership, diamond jewelry, Flokati Rug, piano classes, yoga classes, and a raffle for a 7-night stay at any RCI Resort in the world.

Building a “Foundation of Hope” is the theme of an 18-day trip that a group of volunteers are taking this fall from Seattle to Ghana, West Africa. The participants are funding the trip by themselves, so that all money raised will go to charity projects. The projects this year are increasing access to uncontaminated water and increasing school attendance for children.

Event Chair, Laurie Thibert says, “Working with the non-profit organization W.A.T.E.R. (http://waterinafrica.org/) maximizes our charitable assistance to the areas served. All money raised will go toward building a new school in Ghana, to provide uncontaminated water to the community and to bring free education to disadvantaged children.”

Please join our free, family-friendly concert and auction on June 29th. “Seattle to Ghana” is still accepting Auction items, donations, sponsorships, vendors and volunteers.

Contact Laurie Thibert at 425-941-5644 or email: mail@seattletoghana.info for more information. Please check the www.seattletoghana.info website for more details.
