Fishy Finds To Present The DJ Dan Record Collection Charity Auction for NextAid On eBay Auction Star

DJ Dan, one of Americaâs most highly sought after DJ/producers has recently donated a large portion of his record collection (5,000+ 12â vinyl gems) to humanitarian organization NextAid to auction off for charity. NextAid has partnered with Simi Valley, California retail store, auction house, and online merchant, Fishy Finds for this not-to-be missed holiday auction on eBay. The âDJ Dan Record Collection Charity Auction for NextAidâ is set to go live on eBay on Saturday, December 15, 2007 at http://stores.ebay.com/Fishy-Finds. The 5,000 records will be separated into over 70 different âlots.â Each lot will range in quantity from a half-dozen to 100 records - each group a gem in its own. The 5,000+ DJ Dan 12â (with a small amount of 10″) vinyl records in this auction span from 1988 to 2006 with a bulk of the records from the mid- to late-nineties and include a wide range of musical genres, including: progressive house, funky house, deep house, old and new school funk, new school breaks, funky techno, trance, and tribal. These are Danâs original battle worn records that have been played in the old school rave parties along the west coast, including the legendary parties of Funky Tekno Tribe, The Gathering, Organic, and Spundae. Roughly one third of the collection contains promos and white labels as well as several acetate cuts and dub plates of classic house tracks. All the records are in good condition. The collection also includes autographed copies of several of Danâs own productions such as âNeedle Damage,â Cirrusâ âStop and Panicâ remix, Freshmakaâs âI am the Freshmakaâ remix, Bascoâs âEverything is Going to the Beatâ remix, plus other signed test pressings. Labels include Dust Traxx, Moonshine, Sm:)e, and International House Records.

DJ Dan has been a faithful supporter of NextAidâs for years. Fishy Finds, located in Simi Valley, CA, opened in February 2007. Owners, Steve Olson and Tania Robuck-Goudsward, buy and sell estates worldwide and use the opportunity to donate a portion of the storeâs revenue to several local and global charities. The store held its first in-store auction on the 25th of August and plans to have them monthly. Fishy Finds has been supporting NextAid as one of the six charities to which it donates from auction sales.
