This Friday, December 7th, Space1026 artist collaborative holds its annual art auction to raise money to keep this amazing space open. Past auctions have included work from ESPO, Barry McGee, Judith Schaecter, Matt Leines, Maya Hayuk, Clare Rojas and many others. Submissions have already begun piling up for this year’s auction. Along with submissions from individual 1026 artists, there is work from each of their group shows including books from Bravin Lee, art from their ICA show, as well as wearable art from their show in London. Amazing submissions have already arrived from artists such as Shepard Fairey, William Buzzel (aka) rotgut, Joseph Hart, Caleb Neelon, Katy Horan, Matt Leines as well as great art from 1026 members such as Andrew Jeffrey Wright, Adam Wallacavage, Ben Woodword, Jim Houser, and more.

 

New this year, they’ll accept credit cards through PayPal as well as good old paper cash. Also, they’ll be holding a week-long eBay auction of the most prized submissions. Check www.space1026.com for details on recent submissions.
