AuctionPublicity.com - LARCHMONT, NY, November 12, 2007 - Mid-Century Highlights of the November 19 Auction include a collection of Lucite furniture, Dunbar, McCobb, a white leather curved sofa, period bronzes, a snakeskin mirror, and porcelains from William Gropper, Harris-Strong, and Ruth Faktor.

Antiques include an assemblage of fine Biedermeier and exceptional mahogany furniture as well as mirrors including a fine old Venetian and two early carved Giltwood.

Also noteworthy among the Decorative Arts are marble and solid bronze pedestals; bronze and marble putti, French bronzes, Scottish crystal stemware, and fine porcelains such as Limoges.

The firm’s eponymous founder Ronan Clarke notes that “while we’ve resumed our usual general auction achedule, every Clarke auction offers the unusual and the unique. In this sale, it’s the Mid-Century Lucite, the Biedermeier, and the exceptional older Kittinger and antique mahogany as well as the pianos and great mirrors. But we are still cataloguing estates and late consignments so please keep checking back.”
